The Director of the Executive Secretariat resigns

On February 2022, the Director of Executive Secretariat of the Kosovo Property Comparison and Verification Agency, Mr. Naser Shala, resigned from his position.

The resignation was presented to the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Mr. Glauk Konjufca.

Mr. Shala was elected Director by the Assembly of Kosovo on February 28 2019, for a 5-year term.

His resignation came as a result of the non-approval of the Agency's Annual Report for 2020 in the plenary session held on 6 December. This Report was not approved in the two relevant committees, the Committee on Legislation, Mandates, Immunities, the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly and the Oversight of the Anti-Corruption Agency and the Annual Financial Report of the Agency in the Committee on Budget, Labor and Transfers.

The reasons for not approving this report are considered to be political in nature, so in order to avoid non-approval of other reports that the Agency will send to the Assembly, and not to penalize the Agency further, Mr. Shala has decided to resign from its task in order for the Agency to continue its work without tendencies of a political nature.
