The Federal  Republic of Germany supports the Kosovo Property Agency

On the 4th of  February 2013, the Government of the Republic Kosovo and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, entered into a Grant  Agreement in the amount of €253.000, to support  the work of the Kosovo Property Agency (KPA). The  Grant Agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of Kosovo and on behalf  of the KPA by Deputy Minister of Finance Mr.Ramadan Avdiu and on behalf of the German Government by His Excellency Mr. Peter Blomeyer, German  Ambassador to Kosovo.

Deputy Minister Avdiu, stated that:  “this donation shall be used for the resolution of claims and shall enable the  successful continuation of this process which we consider as important taking  into account that property rights are one of  the basic human rights”.

The German  Ambassador to Kosovo, congratulated the KPA for its work to  date on resolving property claims and stated  that, “property  issues are very important for the country as they are related to social  cohesion, property issues are also crucial for economic development. We are of  opinion that the KPA has done a great job in  clarifying the ownership rights over the properties in Kosovo and that is the  reason why they deserve all the support they can get in order to continue this  great job”.
 
The  Executive Director of the KPA, Mr. Scott Bowen and the Deputy Executive Director, Mr. Xhevat  Azemi were also present at the ceremony.
