Official visit of the KPCVA to Zagreb (Croatia)

 

Prishtina, 6 March 2017

 

A delegation of the Kosovo Property Comparison and Verification Agency (KPCVA) led by Florije Kika, Acting Deputy Executive Director and composed by Albiona Maloku, from the KPCVA Commission Support Office, Arben Canolli and Isak Gėrxhaliu, as notification experts, Arian Krasniqi from the Information Unit as well as Gazmir Raci, Political Adviser to the Minister of Dialogue, Mrs. Edita Tahiri, went to Zagreb/Croatia for an official visit at the State Geodic Administration (SGA) on 28 February 2017.

 

The KPCVA delegation was welcomed by Dr. Damir Santek, Director of SGA, who in his speech stressed the need for cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two respective institutions dealing with the organization, regulation and resolution of property issues.

 

In her speech, the Deputy Executive Director of KPCVA, Mrs. Florije Kika, thanked the hosts for their hospitality, informed the participants about the mandate of KPCVA and the role and responsibility that this Agency will have on the comparison and verification of cadastral records, according to the Conclusions of the Agreement reached in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia in 2011.

 

Furthermore, Mrs. Kika underlined the fact that Kosovo and Croatia share a common past in terms of the challenges that arise from property issues, therefore, according to her opinion and assessment, the cooperation between the two relevant institutions will not end here but will deepen and intensify further in the future. In the end, Mrs. Kika expressed the continued readiness of KPCVA to find opportunities and ways of cooperation.

 

During this visit, the delegation of KPCVA had the chance and opportunity to learn closer the way of organization and functioning of SGA.

 

At the conclusion of the visit, the KPCVA delegation visited the Embassy of Kosovo in Zagreb where they were welcomed by the Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy, Mr. Uliks Emra and his colleagues.
